Guangdong Paper Cup Factory
1. Screen printing
Due to the soft and elastic layout, silk screen printing has great flexibility and applicability. It is not only suitable for printing on soft items such as paper and cloth, but also suitable for printing on hard items, such as glass, ceramics, etc., and is not limited by the surface shape and area size of the substrate. However, the advantages of screen printing paper cups cannot be well reflected, and screen printing has great limitations on the reproduction of graphics and texts, and there are certain difficulties in processing gradients and reproducing image accuracy.
2. Offset printing
Offset printing uses the principle of oil and water repelling each other. Selected papers from the graphic department, film promotion paper cups are lipophilic and water resistant, and the blank part is hydrophilic and oil resistant. The graphic and text are transferred to the substrate through the blanket cylinder. The advantage of offset printing paper cups is that the pattern color is full, bright, and high definition. Whether it is a gradient or a small and fine line, it can be well displayed, making the appearance of the paper cup more beautiful and more attractive to customers. But offset printing is not suitable for printing edible paper cups, because offset printing ink is not very environmentally friendly.
3. Flexo printing
Flexo printing is known as “green printing” due to the use of water-based inks. Now many companies’ product packaging is developing in the direction of flexo printing.
Due to the relatively simple structure of the flexo printing machine, compared with the huge body and expensive material cost of the offset printing machine, the flexo printing machine is “thin”. In terms of cost, the equipment investment of a flexo printing machine is lower than that of an offset printing machine of the same scale, and generally can save as much as 30% to 40%.
The small investment in production attracts small printing companies to join. Flexo printing is not as narrow as screen printing in the selection of original materials, and the color requirements are relatively broad, but it is still inferior to offset printing. Flexo printing is currently the main process used in paper cup printing, and the printing quality of paper cups depends to a large extent on pre-press production. The problems that should be paid attention to in its prepress production are elaborated now.
